the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC) is implementing two schemes of Scholarship for Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, for the students with disabilities. Under these schemes, 2000 new scholarships are provided every year for pursuing higher/professional/technical courses.

1. Scholarship Scheme (Trust Fund):Under this scheme, 1500 Scholarships are provided to eligible differenty-abled students for Degree and Post Graduate level professional and technical courses from recognized institutions in India. The students may apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) any time in academic year and submit hard copy of the application duly recommended by head of the institution/college along with attested copy of requisite documents. The Scholarship amount ranges up to 1.50 lacs depending upon course fee, maintenance allowances, books & stationary allowances and aids & appliances of student.

2. Scholarship Scheme (National Fund): Under this scheme, 500 Scholarships are provided in a year to the students with disabilities for pursuing Post Matric professional and technical courses of more than one year duration. The students may apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) and submit hard copy of the application duly
recommended by head of the institution/college along with attested copy of requisite documents from 1
st July, 2013 to 31st August, 2013.
