important warning by MCI to students for admission 2017

MCI has issued very important notice for students and parents who want to take admission in MBBS course for year 2017-18.
This is done due to various agents who are attracting students for admission in MBBS at various colleges. So MCI has to issue this notice. \As per this notice
The admission during this year will be done through either central admission committee or state admission committee. No private or Deemed to be university will able to do admission form their own. Such admission will be invalid.

For admission "The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family
Welfare, Government of India for 15% All India Quota seats in Government Medical
Colleges of the contributing states and for All MBBS seats in Medical Colleges run
by Deemed Universities. The Designated Authority of the State/ Union Territory Government in respect of MBBS seats in Government Medical Colleges and Non-Governmental Medical
Colleges."

"Admissions made without common counseling is impermissible and illegal."

By way of this Advisory all Candidates interested in taking admission in Medical
Colleges should check the status regarding grant of permission by the Central
Government to the colleges from the website of Medical Council of India i.e.
https://www.mciindia.org/ and only after verifying the status of the permission
should proceed to take admission.
It is further brought to notice of all concerned that following 69 Medical Colleges
have not been granted permission by the Medical Council of India / Central
Government for admitting students in MBBS for academic year 2017-18 and

Important announcement for NRI MBBS admission 2017

Attention All NRI Candidates
This is to inform all the NRI candidates (including OCI/PIO) who had registered under UR/Indian Category at the time of NEET registration for UG (MBBS/BDS) seats conducted by CBSE for the academic year 2017-18 and eligible candidates who are interested for NRI Quota may send relevant documents/certificates /Passport supporting their NRI status by 25th July 2017(up to 11:00AM) through email at adgme@nic.in.
Such candidates if found eligible will be allowed to participate as NRI candidates and NRI quota seats will be shown to them. These NRI candidates will not be eligible for the Management seats. This issues with the prior approval of the competent authority.

NRI MBBS admission in Gujarat medical colleges 2017

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR NRI CATEGORY STUDENTS
1. Students should carefully read the rules for admission before submitting the application form. In
the event of anything stated therein being found factually incorrect, the admission will be
liable to be cancelled and concerned candidate will be liable to face legal action.
2. Candidate himself/herself can do online registration from Date: 13/07/2017, 12:00 PM to
Date: 19/07/2017 till 12:00 Midnight.
3. PIN for online registration will be available from the branches of Axis Bank approved by
ACPUGMEC, (List of Axis Bank branches is available on admission committee’s website
www.medadmgujarat.org) during banking hours on working days on payment of Rs. 200/- in cash
(non-refundable).
4. For online registration at help centre student must have purchased PIN. Candidate can register
himself by visiting website of admission committee www.medguj.nic.in.
5. The candidate applying for NRI Quota, document verification and submission will be done only at
Office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.
6. After online application, they have to submit Demand draft of Rs. 10,000/- payable to ACPUGMEC,
Gandhinagar as a process fee at the Office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar Only.
7. Detail information about admission process is available on website www.medadmgujarat.org.

8. Students joining admitted College will be awarded degree from concerned University to which the
college is affiliated.
9. No application for admission will be considered unless it is accompanied by notarized copies of the
certificates and all necessary documents.
10. Any change in any of the documents or in the examination marks after submission of the application
should be promptly reported to the Office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar with
attested copy of the same. The candidate will be responsible for consequences if he/she fails to do
so.
11. Admission to NRI quota seats at Medical / Dental Colleges will be finalized on the basis of merit list
as prescribed under the rules.
GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION IN NRI QUOTA SEATS
1. DEFINITIONS:
a) “NRI” means a Non-Resident Indian as defined under Income Tax Act.1961 read with Foreign
Exchange Management Act, 1999.
Accordingly following criteria will be used for determining the NRI status of the candidate /
parent.
Non-resident Indian is “a person who is not resident in India”.
The term NRI is defined under FEMA rules and regulations as ‘A person resident outside India
who is either a citizen of India or is a person of Indian origin (PIO).’
Under the Foreign Exchange management (Deposit) Regulations, 2000, which deal with banking
accounts in India by NRIs, the term PIO is defined as below:
A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) is a citizen of any country other than Bangladesh or Pakistan, if
he at any time held an Indian passport or he or either of his parents or any of his grandparents
was a citizen of India by virtue of the Constitution of India or the Citizenship Act, 1955 or he is
spouse of an Indian citizen or a person referred to in ‘a’ or ‘b’.
Resident outside India: Person resident outside India means a person who is not resident in
India.
Resident in India: Person Resident in India means:
i. Person Resident in India for more than 182 days during the course of preceding financial
year but does not include:
A) A person who has gone out of India or who stays outside India, in either case: (A.1) for or on
taking up employment outside India; or
(A.2) for carrying on outside India a business or vocation outside India; or
(A.3) for any other purpose, in such circumstances as would indicate his intention to stay
outside India for a uncertain period.
B) A person who has come to or stay in India, in either case, otherwise than: (B.1) for or on
taking up employment in India, or
(B.2) for carrying on in India a business or vocation in India, or
(B.3) for any other purpose, in such circumstances as would indicate his intention to stay in
India for an uncertain period;
ii. Any person or body corporate registered or incorporated in India;
iii. An Office, Branch or Agency in India owned or controlled by a person resident outside India;
iv. An Office, Branch or Agency in India owned or controlled by a person resident in India.
b) Person of Indian Origin:
Person of Indian Origin" means a foreign citizen (not being a citizen of Pakistan, Bangladesh and
other countries as may be specified by the Central Government from time to time) if,
 he/she at any time held an Indian passport; or
 he/she or either of his/her parents or grand parents or great grand parents was a citizen of
India by virtue of the Constitution of India of the Citizenship Act,1955 (57 of 1955); or\
 he/she is a spouse of a citizen of India or a person of Indian origin covered under (i) or (ii)
above.
2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: As per notification by Health & Family welfare department,
Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar.
a) (i) A candidate shall be Non-Resident Indian, or
(ii) His/her parents or in absence of his/her parents, his/her legal guardian shall be Non-
Resident India.
b) The candidate must have obtained minimum qualifying marks in 12th Standard as per regulatory
Council.
c) The candidate should have appeared in NEET-UG-2017 examination and have been declared
“Qualified”.
d) A candidate shall have completed 17 years of age on or before the 31st December of the
Academic Year for which the admissions are being conducted.
e) “Provisional Eligibility Certificate” should be obtained from concerned University within one
month of admission.
3. MERIT LIST:
Admission on the non-resident Indian seats shall be given by ACPUGMEC on the basis of inter-se
merit based on:
All India Overall Rank at the NEET-UG-2017 from among the candidates who have applied for
admission against the Non-Resident Indian seats.
4. DOCUMENTS: Application will be considered only if it is accompanied by copies of the following
certificates, duly notarized.
a) Print-out of Online Application
b) School Leaving Certificate or other document showing place of birth
c) H.S.C.E. / Equivalent Examination mark sheet.
d) NEET – UG – 2017 Examination Mark Sheet.
e) Transcript – for abroad student.
f) Equivalence Certificate – for abroad student.
g) Passport (Notarized color photocopies of all pages including blank Pages) of NRI/NRI Parents
h) Visa / Resident permit / OCI / PIO card as applicable (Notarized Colour Photocopy)
i) Address proof (Indian) (Notarized Colour Photocopy)
j) Address proof (Foreign) (Notarized Colour Photocopy)
k) Undertaking in regard for the fees from NRI Student/Parent (on 100 Rs. Stamp paper)
l) Document/s for Proof of Origin (Citizenship Card/P.R. Card etc.) (Notarized Colour Photocopy)
NOTE: All necessary documents should be available in English language only. If any document is in
language other than English, it must be translated in English language by competent authority.
5. The applicant shall have to produce the original certificates mentioned in 4a, 4b and 4c and
for all other documents, Notarized color copies to be submitted at the time of submission of
application. Originals of documents mentioned in 4d, 4e, 4f and 4g shall have to be produced
at the time of interview. If during scrutiny or any time thereafter any discrepancy or incorrectness
is noticed, the admission is liable to be cancelled forthwith. The candidate could be expelled and
criminal action would be initiated against him.
6. Residence in the college hostel will be offered to the students as available. The allotment, decided on
the basis of merit/requirements, will be at the discretion of the Dean / Principal. Admission to the
college does not guarantee hostel admission.
7. The hostel fees will be charged at rate fixed by the respective Management from time to time and
will be paid by the student before the beginning of each term. Any other fee is to be paid by student,
as decided by college authorities at par with all students.
8. So long as the father of the student is alive, no other person will be ordinarily accepted as his
guardian.
9. Chairman, ACPUGMEC reserves the right to insert any new guideline or to edit / modify / delete any
guideline to meet the exigencies of situation at any time.

Gujarat Medical Colleges admission in MBBS course 2017

Gujarat government admission notice - released the NEET based merit for 2017 admission. The details can be downloaded form here

Government of Gujarat has decided to conduct common e-counselling of MBBS admission for year 2017.

The Government of Gujarat, in the Legislative Assembly has passed an act, Act No.3 of 2008 called “Gujarat Professional Medical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007” to make special provision for regulation of admission in the professional Medical educational courses in the State and fixation of fees in such colleges or institutions and for matter connected therewith. As per the powers conferred to State Government, in Section 20(1) of the said Act, the Government of Gujarat, Education Department by way of a notification had constituted “Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC)” to regulate the admission of candidates to the professional Medical & Paramedical degree courses. The mission assigned to these Committees is to carry out the counseling process in a fair and transparent manner. The admission process is conducted by this Committee strictly on the basis of merit and the preference of the candidate.
The registration is started from 12th July 2017.

PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION
PIN can be obtained by the candidate from any of the designated branches of Axis Bank by
paying Rs. 200/- (non-refundable). The details of the branches of Axis Bank are given on website
(www.medadmgujarat.in).
All the candidates hereby informed that all the activities of admission described here can be
performed within stipulated time limit as declared by Admission Committee for Professional
Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) and refer the admission schedule
declared by Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses
(ACPUGMEC) from time to time on www.medguj.nic.in and www.medadmgujarat.in.
1. Gujarat Board / CBSE / ISCE students who have passed HSC Examination (Science Stream)
from Gujarat State have to log on to the website www.medguj.nic.in from anywhere on the
internet for Online Form Registration.
2. For online form registration candidate has to click Apply for Admission in Medical/
Paramedical Courses-2017 button. New window will appear on the computer screen.
3. To register as a new candidate click the Click Here for New Registration button. By doing
so, New Registration window will be displayed on the computer screen.
4. The field of Course name is by default as “Medical / Paramedical”. The candidate cannot
make any change in that option.
5. After that, candidate has to select option “Yes” or “No” for “Have you appeared in NEET
2017 Examination?”. If candidate has appeared in NEET UG 2017 examination than select
“Yes”. If candidate has not given NEET UG 2017 examination than select “No”.
6. FOR CANDIDATE WHO HAVE APPEARED IN NEET UG 2017 EXAMINATION:
 Enter NEET 2017 Roll Number and NEET ALL INDIA RANK as per the NEET 2017
mark sheet, five digit PIN serial number, 14 digit PIN, Name as per the NEET 2017
mark sheet and other details in the appropriate box. Verify the details entered and if
every detail entered is correct, click SUBMIT button. Then, the Online Registration
Form window will be displayed on the computer screen.
 The candidate has to fill up personal details in the format as displayed in Online
Registration Form. Candidate’s NEET UG 2017 seat number will appear as
LOGIN/USER ID. [It is mandatory to use the Candidate’s NEET UG 2017 seat number as
LOGIN/USER ID]. After that, the candidate has to enter a password by using at least 6

7. FOR CANDIDATE WHO HAVE NOT APPEARED IN NEET UG 2017 AND HAVE PASSED HSC
EXAMINATION (SCIENCE STREAM):
 Enter five digit PIN serial number, 14 digit PIN, Name as per the HSC examination
mark sheet and other details in the appropriate box. Verify the details entered and if
every detail entered is correct, click SUBMIT button. Then, the Online Registration
Form window will be displayed on the computer screen.
 The candidate has to fill up personal details in the format as displayed in Online
Registration Form. Candidate’s five digit serial number printed on PIN cover will
appear as LOGIN/USER ID. [It is mandatory to use the Candidate’s five digit PIN serial
number as LOGIN/USER ID]. After that, the candidate has to enter a password by using
at least 6 (six) and maximum 12 (twelve) alphanumeric characters. Re-enter the same
password at the space marked as Confirm Password. For future login the candidate has
to use the same Login ID, PIN and password only. So candidate has to remember the
password for subsequent login.
Caution: Please do not share your password and purchased PIN with anyone. If you have
lost your PIN, you must have to come at CCR, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar for
regenerate your PIN by paying Rs. 100.
8. Verify the entries made and if every detail found correct then choose I accept option at the
bottom of the form, if the declaration is acceptable. If the candidate selects I accept option,
he will be allowed to click the SUBMIT REGISTRATION DETAILS button. In case any
mandatory information not filled then registration will not be completed. In such case the
incomplete fields will be highlighted by ‘*’ with red colour or message will be displayed.
Provide the incomplete information and click SUBMIT REGISTRATION DETAILS button.
9. By doing so, Registration Details will be generated. If any corrections are required then
click Edit Registration Details button. The Online Registration Form will appear with
already filled details which can be edited by the candidate. After editing, the candidate has to
verify the details entered and if every detail found correct, click Confirm Registration
Details button. No changes to registration details will be allowed after this.
10. The candidate will be able to take print of the Registration Details only after clicking
Confirm Registration Details button. The candidate can click the Print Your Details button
for printing Registration Details page.
11. For the confirmation of registration at Help Center, all candidates have to take print of the
Registration Details (two copies). Self-attested copies of all relevant documents (as per the
list mentioned at the bottom of the Registration Details) should be attached with the
Registration Details. Both candidate as well as parent/guardian of the candidate has to
compulsorily sign the Registration Details at the space provided. In case of candidates of
SC/SEBC/ST/PH category, the candidates have to submit 02 copies of caste certificate, Non-
creamy layer certificate and school leaving certificate / transfer certificate.
12. The candidate then has to reach at any nearby Help Center along with Registration Slip and
all relevant original documents & self attested photocopies, compulsorily.
13. The officer at the Help Center will verify the Registration Details and self attested
photocopies of relevant documents with originals. The officer will retain Registration Slip
and set of self attested documents, and issue the Registration Slip with signature and seal to
the Candidate. It is mandatory for all candidates to confirm the registration at Help
Center and obtain Registration Slip, without which candidate shall not be eligible for
further admission process.
14. FOR NRI CATEGORY CANDIDATE: The candidate applying for NRI Quota, document
verification and submission will be done only at Office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical
College, Gandhinagar. After online application, they have to submit Demand draft of Rs.
10,000/- in favor of “ACPUGMEC, Gandhinagar” payable at Gandhinagar as a process fee at
the office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar Only. Following additional
documents required for document verification:
 Passport (Notarized color photocopies of all pages including blank Pages) of NRI/NRI
Parents
 Visa / Resident permit / OCI / PIO card as applicable
 Address proof (Indian and foreign)
 Undertaking in regard for the fees from NRI Student/Parent
 Document/s for Proof of Origin (Citizenship Card/P.R. Card etc.)
15. FOR PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CANDIDATE: All candidates, who are applying for PH
quota, have to appear for examination for disability to Medical Board of ACPUGMEC at Office
of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar. Only Physical Disability Certificate
issued from a Medical Board of ACPUGMEC will be considered. No other PH certificate, issued
by any other Authorities/Hospital will be entertained.

ESIC medical college admission 2017

ESI Corporation, a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, i.e. ESI Act [Act No. 34] of 1948, under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India, has started Medical Education Institutions (Medical/Dental colleges) in the country at large.
The approved admission policy and procedure for under graduate (MBBS/BDS) Courses in ESIC Medical Education Institutions provides for ‘Insured Persons (IPs) Quota’ after allocation to “All India Quota” and the “State Government Quota”.
Three hundred and thirty two (332) MBBS seats are available for ‘Wards of Insured persons’ under ESI Scheme who meet the laid down eligibility criteria for admission to Medical Colleges under ‘Insured Persons Quota’. Six (06) of these colleges are run by the ESIC at (i) Faridabad, Haryana; (ii) Joka, Kolkata (WB); (iii) Sanathnagar, Hyderabad, Telangana; (iv) K.K.Nagar, Chennai, TN; (v).Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka; and (vi) Gulbarga, Karnataka. Three (03) medical colleges run by the respective State Governments at (i) Mandi, Himachal Pradesh; (ii) Coimbatore, TN; and (iii) Kollam (Paripally) also provide for seats for ‘Wards of IPs’ under ‘Insured Persons Quota.
Twenty Two (22) BDS seats are available for ‘Wards of Insured persons’ under ESI Scheme who meet the laid down eligibility criteria for admission at Dental College, Gulbarga, under ‘Insured Persons Quota’.
Ward of IPs selected to MBBS/BDS course in 2017-18 are required to pay tuition fee of Rs. 24,000/- per annum. Also, they are required to execute Bond at the time of admission for compulsory service to ESIC for a period of three years after successful completion of their course. In event of default of Bond condition including discontinuing the study, the bounden/sureties would have to pay a sum of Rs. 10 lakh to the ESIC.

AFMC Pune admission notification 2017

Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is a premier medical institute of India. The College is a Centre of Excellence for medical education and research. It was initially established in 1948 for postgraduate courses. The graduate wing for the MBBS course was started on 04 Aug 1962 with the aim of inducting medical graduates to the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). Presently the college provides training to under-graduate and post-graduate medical and nursing students with assured career prospects in the defence services.
AFMC, Pune is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is recognized by the Medical Council of India.
A total of 130 candidates (105 BOYS AND 25 GIRLS ) will be selected in the year 2017 as medical Cadets for imparting training (including MBBS course) at the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune with liability to get commissioned in the Armed Forces Medical Services as Medical Officers.
